Hike Description:

VP hikers,

This Saturday we are hiking the beautiful Uintas, for the last time this hiking season. This will be a one-way hike from Ruth Lake to Lofty Lake. Bring a jacket, rain gear so your prepared for any weather. Plan on a longer day because of the drive time.

DOGS: Are welcome, but you will need to drive your hairy friend to the trailhead.

WEATHER ISSUES: If we need to cancel the hike due to weather, I will send out an email by 7:30 AM Sunday morning. So check your email before you go.

DIFFICULTY: Moderate

ELEVATION GAIN: Unsure

ROUND TRIP MILES: About 5 to 6 miles

LUNCH WITH A VIEW: Don't forget to bring a lunch, sunscreen, bug spray and water.

MEETING and LEAVING AT 8:30 A.M. (come 15 minutes early to socialize)

We are meeting at REI on 3300 South. Meet us on the westside of REI in the shopping center. Just look for my blue truck and folks standing around looking like hikers! LOL

DAY FEE AREA: There is a $6 fee per car, so bring your cards with you.

DRIVERS: If we have a large number of hikers, please consider being one of the drivers. From the parking lot, we will carpool. Please help your drive with the gas expense.
