• Hike description: We're marching across San Francisco, starting by the Ferry Building, through the Barbary Coast and North Beach, through Macondray Lane, over Russian Hill and down to the the end point at Ghirardelli Square. We'll stop for lunch at Washington Square Park so either bring something to eat or choose between many of the great take-out options in North Beach (Golden Boy Pizzza if just one option but there are also Thai and other Italian places). We're going to see a little known Diego Rivera mural along the way and will end up with some chocolate or maybe even the sundaes at Ghirardelli.
• Sunday Morning Staircases and (maybe) crepes
• Hike description: Do you grow weary of staring at the boring little lights on your gym’s stairmaster or treadmill? This event will get you away from them for at least one day without having to give up on those buns of steel. San Francisco’s collection of hills and staircases can elevate your spirit as well as your heart rate. No gym membership fees required and we’ll have a great time enjoying the views. While it is a workout it really isn’t as strenuous as the typical day on Mt. Tam. If you exercise every once in a while this should be, literally, a breeze.\r\n\r\nWe’ll meet in Duboce Park near the playground. After warming up with Buena Vista Heights we’ll move on to the fun and rugged Corona Heights, then over to Mt. Olympus (you didn’t even know that San Francisco had a Mt. Olympus, did you?). We’ll cross Tank Hill on our way up to Twin Peaks. From then on it is all downhill until we get to the Castro area where we can have (if you\'re hungry) some well deserved crepes at the Café M...
